At its 55th session in October 2023 the ECMWF Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) agreed to set up a subgroup to support requirements gathering for the next HPC.
The Committee appointed its Vice-Chair and representative of Norway, Anne-Cecilie Riiser, as Convener and agreed the following terms of reference:
- To liaise with Member States to establish their requirements for next HPC;
- To prepare a strategy, including a cost/benefit analysis, for future service provision beyond 2027;
- To formulate a set of recommendations for the next HPC to be presented to the TAC.
