At its 54th session the TAC established a subgroup to review the future RMDCN service. Rémy Giraud (France) was nominated as Convenor.
The terms of reference of the TAC subgroup are as follows:
- To liaise with Member States, Co-operating States and other connected sites to establish their requirements for data exchange after 2025;
- To ensure that any future service is aligned with WMO Information System version 2 and the requirements for data exchange in RA VI;
- To prepare a strategy, including a cost/benefit analysis, for future service provision beyond 2025;
- To formulate a set of recommendations to meet post-2025 Member State requirements for the TAC meeting in October 2023
The fifth meeting of the Subgroup took place on 12 July 2023.
